My first precision rifle.  Nothing special compared to a lot of what's out there, but I'm pleased with it thus far.

Nope. Remington 700 R5. .308 civilian rifle with the action and barrel from the M24 sniper rifle in an HS Precision stock. 20moa base and rings from Seekins Precision, 10x42 SWFA Super Sniper, Harris bipod, Tactical Intervention QuickCuff sling, Blackhawk stockpack.

Remington takes the M24 overruns and makes the R5 as a non-catalog item. Hoping to test it out in the next few weeks; should be sub-.5 moa.

Looks great.  Had a Remington 40X in .308, looked alot like yours.  I had a Leupold 6.5X20 EFR with Burris PosiAlign rings set up for around 20 moa.  Got .250 groups with 168 gr. Sierra MatchKings and IMR3031.  Good luck and have fun.  Sure you will enjoy the rifle and setup.

Looks really awesome, are you planning on shooting the fleas off your target? Geez, you get that dialed in, and you'll be splitting hairs.

Y'know, your comments reminded me...  I always thought that either Remington or one of the SpecOps teams should've co-opted Ma Bell's old slogan...  'Reach out and touch someone.'   ;D

McMillan should have the trademark on that phrase. From Wikipedia: PPCLI Canadian Soldier Corporal Rob Furlong (Operation Anaconda, Afghanistan) - holds the record for the longest-ever recorded and confirmed sniper kill at 2,430 meters (1.509 miles) using a .50 caliber (12.7 mm) McMillan TAC-50 rifle. Iraqi "sniper" Juba can hit a U.S. soldier in his body armor at about 25 meters and he gets back up with nothing more than a bruise, and this guy made a fatal shot from about 100 times as far. Just over a mile and a half, but that Remington is one sweet rifle too.
