How Tacticool Are You?
« on: September 25, 2014, 09:00:18 PM »
Okay, 'fess up. How many pieces of MOLLE gear do you own, and in home many colors?

Me? I have 4 bags with MOLLE straps on them, a messenger bag in black, a slightly larger bag in green, a bug out and a rifle case in tan.

No vests or plate carriers, though, and I don't own a drop-leg holster, either :D
I can't understand people who think banning guns makes them safer. They must also believe that banning books makes them smarter.

I've reached the point in life that I am seriously looking at those velcro shoes advertised on the back of magazines old farts read, does that count as one piece or two?

There's a couple of molle strips on my black (egads....BLACK) AR case..... I have nothing to hang on them though.

I just use Craftsman or other tool bags for go-bags and range bags. They work as good for a fraction of the cost.

When Kevin and I were at Prescott, I specifically bought a plain backpack for the range trips.  It was black, but zero MOLLE.  I don't have any MOLLE accessories so I don't see paying for it.   Plus I wanted to appear LAID BACK COOL, not TACTI.

BUT THEN, this month, I needed another pack for my Get Home Bag project and decided to buy the MidwayUSA MOLLE backpack.  Reasonably priced and I may hang an outboard bag or two on it.

I do have a lot of Velcro cable ties both at home and at work, though.   Does that count?

I've got a couple of camo tee shirts, and 5 gun cases with MOLLE straps and stiching on them, but that's about it. I'm going to get a nice camo range bag for when I retire in just a couple of months. I'm eyeing a pair of those big, baggy camo cargo pants they sell at Cabela's as well. I'm like Rodney Dangerfield. I like pants with a lot of room in them, and places to put stuff!
