We have been living in our house for 22 years on the 5 th of Sept. It is nice not to move.

In the previous 23+ years we moved 26 times. You are right. Moving sucks. All those moves seem even worse when you realize that I spent 2 years in grad school, 4 years teaching and writing, and 5 years at my last post -- but we did move once there from a small set of quarters to a larger set of general's quarters -- there was no general to or who wanted to occupy the quarters.

So, I "feel your pain." We will not move again if I can help it!

Here's a question for you:

If you hire a moving company will they move your guns???????????????

I think this comes under the heading of "Don't ask, Don't Tell"

Where are we now??????

Why would you let them touch them? Yes, I would let them move the massive safe that holds them, but I'll take the responsibility of making sure my guns make it safely through the move.

Some moving companies will, but I'm with Ericire12 on this one.  Why would you entrust your guns to a moving company?

You find out who your real friends are when moving, unless you hire the whole "package",

And it costs regardless. Hope it goes as as smooth as possible for you.

The guns, jewelry, Rookwood Pottery from 1841, you know, album collection,.. ::), "good" stuff, got to go in the personal vehicle.

Told my wife if she had the "itch" to move again, she can get a new husband to help her.  ;D

All the best...

Yep.

Bumper sticker I once saw:
"Yeah, this is my truck. And no, I won't help you move."

:) I have that one on my truck and, "Guns don't kill people. Drivers with cell phones do." They're the only two bumper stickers I ever bought and I get a lot of comments on both.
