Colt LW Commander with stag grips
« on: November 09, 2014, 07:08:38 PM »
I finally got the rear sight changed out to where I'm happy with how it looks, all it needs now is a trigger job:

Best Wishes, Mike.

Lookin' good and clean.

I wonder if it wouldn't look even cooler with some case hardening?

Hmmm, yeah maybe - it's an alloy frame of course so that's out, the hammer & trigger could certainly be prettier - what were you thinking?
Best Wishes, Mike.

I think he's helping you spend your money. ;D  What are friends for?
The slide is steel, so's the hammer. Safety, grip safety, slide latch, mag release...how many credit cards do have for us to work with?
;D  ;D  ;D

Didn't realize it was alloy.   It looks so clean.   I'm not a big fan of a lot of checkering or decorating.   It looks good enough you ought to post it on Sheriff Jim Wilson's FB page.   He'd appreciate it.

Yeah, I'm a pretty easy 'mark' - I was talked into a custom holster/belt/mag carrier rig for it in advance of Gov. elect Abbott's signing of a (perhaps) forthcoming open carry signing, it should be here in a couple of weeks....I'll post pics of course :)
Best Wishes, Mike.

I know, I know....."Gawd here's Bic with more pics of that doggy old Commander..."

Well, here's the new rig from UBG holsters - great quality and very righteously priced:
