Don't bring a can of Chicken Noodle Soup to a gun fight?

I wonder if the kids will need to get a holster and permit if they want to carry their can concealed?

FOOD FIGHT: Alabama principal seeks cans of food to defend against intruders

W.F. Burns Middle School Principal Priscella Holley said in a Friday letter to parents that a can could stun an intruder "or even knock him out" until police arrive.

Holley wrote that the cans would empower students if an intruder enters their classroom at the school in Valley, Alabama.

It's a better idea than huddling like sheep the way they did at Va Tech.

They don't want to arm the teachers, but they'll arm the kids.
I guess "A" weapon is better than "no" weapon. Let's hope they issue the kids full cans of whoop-ass.

It won't last.

Kids will start being expelled for having cans of pudding in their lunch bag, forming their fingers like they are holding a tin can or saying "Creamed Corn" out loud.

At least they are expected to try and fight back. I never could understand how those students could just sit there and wait while the asshat reloaded. As soon as he came thru the door, he should have been greeted by a hail of books, chairs, desks and anything else that could be thrown at him.

ANYTHING can be used as a weapon. Think about a classroom, books, pens and pencils, there is always a flag in a class room, the pole is a stylized SPEAR.
The class rooms have doors, some one can stand behind the door and when he kicks it open kick it shut in his face.
There is no such thing as a dangerous weapon, there are only dangerous people.
An unarmed naked person determined to survive is far more deadly than some one with a nuke who lacks the will to survive.
