We may have had this around before, but gosh this is pretty.

(totally ripped this off of Brian.   Thanks for bringing it to my attention.)

For more, including 1911s

I've seen damascus 1911s before about 10 years ago. They were absolutely gorgeous!!! (and priced accordingly)
A LGS named 'Big Bore' used to have them. The storefront is now the Phx Glockmeister location.
Never have seen a damascus revo though. That's really nice.

The gold bling doesn't do anything for me.
The damascus 1911s I saw had a MUCH tighter steel pattern and looked a lot nicer than those Cabots.
Especially on the sides of the slide. The ones I saw, the lines were horizontal, not vertical.

Not much on the gold trim, but I do like the Damascus pattern.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

"When it comes to the enemy, just because they ain't pullin' a trigger, doesn't mean they ain't totin' ammo for those that are."~PegLeg

Often, the "gold" is TiN, Titanium Nitride, it's a coating used for wear resistance that happens to look exactly like Gold, but wears like you would not believe. based on my experience with it in milling machines I would guess that 1911 parts plated with it would never wear out.
