I heard something about this, how he is in bed with terrorist organizations, and that he is trying to bring down the NRA from within.

This whole "Bring down the NRA from within" was tried back in the 70's. Back then during the annual meeting, the whole inner core of the NRA was ousted, and the hardliner Harlon Carter took over with his people. The inner circle of the NRA at the time was getting way too cozy with the anti's. Because of it all of the "compromisers" were kicked to the curb. I remember because that's when I joined for life. I agree about Norquist. This guy is a total POS.

Here is one from two months after 9/11, suggesting that this guy was a primary reason that Bush got his understanding of Islam so wrong.. I wondered where the hell he was getting this whole "religion of peace" from.. Makes me like this little runt even less now...

You can dig around as well as I can. Perhaps it could be distilled down to who you trust more, Norquist or Frank Gaffney.. He's the guy that's been calling him out all along, and it got him "uninvited" from the ACU's CPAC. I love the CPAC conferences, but they trot out their share of moderate fools too.. Seems like every time we get the latest Conservative Hero, going back to Bob Dole and Jack Kemp, and "The Maverick" (in my own memory), the buzz got started from a speech at CPAC..
Thing is, nobody is calling Gaffney a tool of some high-paying international enemy of everything we call normal enough to die to keep it that way..
In doing this, and I think this is worthy of noting, (since he has been the one offering the proof), Gaffney wins nothing, if he "wins". He makes alot of enemies. He does this at the cost of his own comfort, at least.. That, to me, is worth taking note of..

I wasn't there with Norquist when he took the money, of that's the standard we're looking for.. I don't like the man on the Board, because I just flat don't trust him, and I think he's a creep that has other priorities that hold more sway over his decision-making than his seat on the Board of NRA, (that he landed because of "buzz" over the Tax-Pledge, rather than any life-long commitment to Liberty).

I have a hard time finding more than the PR release for most of these guys on the Board. I voted for two of the established candidates and wrote in Bill Whittle and Colion Noir on the back. (His real name is Kevin something but I can't remember what it is.. He'll do just fine..)
It may be seen as not taking it seriously, but I take it very seriously. I'm just more than a little annoyed with the whole "This guy is good.. Read these two paragraphs and vote for him.." kinda thing that we're seemingly only allowed to know. The whole process that they've fallen into is a single red flag that I have to ignore every year in order to cast a vote. It's never what I see as an "informed vote"..

Btw, Glenn Beck today on his show has talked alot about this in the first two hours, some with Michelle Malkin..
Norquist will get a chance to confront it with Beck at some point when (if) he wants to sit down and do it, (on Monday).
