My father-in-law just found out that he's got advanced bladder cancer. I had no idea that was another one brought to us by the folks at tobacco, but it is. May we all be lucky enough to dodge that bullet.

Okay, it's been a long time, but it seems to me that in a book called "The Ugly American" we were criticized for going to other countries and not bothering to learn the language or customs.  Now we're criticized for not learning the language and customs of people who come here.
Another one I really like is a question that is supposed to determine if you are a racist or sexist;  If you see someone on the street and you notice that they are black, you're a racist, a woman and you're a sexist.
I never argue with a liberal, they are dedicated idiots.
