Progress report and Pneumologic therapy.
« on: April 08, 2015, 06:34:02 AM »
I wanted to check in, as it has been a while. After a long, hefty, fun filled recovery in hospital, I have been home for a year now. Progress has been small up to 3 weeks ago, when some wonderful bureaucrat, placed my name at the top of the pile to receive a home assistant 22.5 hrs a week. In that time I hired a friend to help with my physical therapy and things are going much quicker. Legs/knees are making the most measurable progress (cross fingers, stand in 2-3 wks, try to walk in 5). Hands slower, but better. I can now open my right hand enough to grip a pistol, but my trigger finger doesn't quite reach naturally. Left hand is slightly better, but is going to require chemical treatment or surgery to get much back.
Now to pneumalogic therapy - AIR GUNS!  Since I am confined to a bed, I have taken up airguns to practice with, including my gunsmithing abilities, some of you may recall that was my 2nd vocation. I have decided to become the airgunsmith of TX, including some custom pre charge pneumatics of my design, and hot rodding current offerings. Also interested in co2 for converting to PCP. Anyone who have non-working or working air rifles or pistols for low or no cost (I am living on disability ), especially Crosman/Benjamin, please message me, or even if you just want to talk airguns or guns, let's start some conversation.
Thanks to all here who have given me encouragement and prayers these last few years, it has meant a lot.

It's really great to hear some good news out of Texas, Bennie.

Keep up the fantastic progress, and keep us all informed as you do,

Still in our prayers, pal. And things are looking up.

Oh, and good luck with the airgun plan.  You may have hit on a winner.

I like the airgun approach! very creative.

Keep healing, Brother, and as CR said, we'll keep our prayers going for you.

Hey Bennie!!  Good to hear from you.

I only have 2 airguns and both are "like new".  I fail to give them the use they deserve...

I'll see if I can put them through the ringer more often and maybe they will wear out in time to help you or maybe need repair when you are doing that work.

Take care, my friend, and keep in touch.

Pneumalogic therapy sounds like a winner. I'm glad you're getting better and hope you can spend some more time on the forum.

Glad to hear the progress.   Hope it continues.

Wish I could contribute to the pneumalogic  but I already had my Crosman MKI  ported.  There's a lack of airgunsmiths.  Or at least if they exist locally I don't see any advertising or marketing of such.

Get well soon!  It sounds like you have the right kind of attitude.

I may have one or two non-funcitoning CO2 airguns that a relative has that I can send your way.  I'll PM you in couple of weeks if I can get a hold of them for you.
