11 Reasons You Should Drink Coffee Everyday
« on: April 27, 2015, 11:16:02 AM »
As a follow up to that thread where brewing good coffee was discussed, here is a link to Why You Should Drink Coffee

There really can't be any adult in this great big world that has never tried coffee. It's consumed everywhere, and judging by the amount number of Starbucks locations in the United States alone, (in 2012, there were 10,924!) we love our caffeine.

BTW, here is a link to a reasonably priced coffee brewer that is touted as eliminating bitterness.  Be the first to review it here.

It appears to have a "warming plate".  Get it off the hot plate and into a thermal carafe or thermos bottle.

My doctor said my medicine will work better if I don't have any caffeine. I'm not even supposed to drink decaf or eat chocolate. I tried it his way for a year(?) and have since started drinking decaf again. It doesn't have all the benefits of regular coffee but it's my compromise between regular and none. It gives me a routine to follow every day.

Well, there's at least one,Me,I have never consumed any coffee. I drink tea because of all the people I have seen who can't function without a cup of coffee first thing in the morning.

Assumptions.  I try not to make them.   I drink 5 or 6 8oz cups of coffee a day but have no problem functioning on days when I'm too rushed to grand and brew it.  Occasionally 2 or 3 days in a row with no ill effects.

I didn't read the whole article but I read somewhere else that drinking regular coffee while studying is linked to higher test scores. Apparently it helps to sharpen your focus.

Myself as well, I never saw the point in it, if you must drink something to function, then there is something wrong with you.
I am asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow and when I wake up, I am able to get dressed and out the door and on the way to work in less than 30 minutes.

Best coffee maker I've ever had. 12 cups a side, with no automatic anything. It brews fast. Turn it on and it makes coffee, and keeps it hot until you decide to shut it off. I hate those damn 2 hour automatic shutoffs. Now that I'm retired, I don't need any automatic timers on anything. Now both of us can have coffee the way we both like it.
