Baltimore Mayor's Request For DOJ Investigation.

Why, all the talking heads are asking.  Why did the mayor ask for DOJ help to find out if there is a systemic pattern of depriving citizen's constitutional rights because of organizational practices and procedures?

Gee.  I could be wrong but it looks to me like it's an effort to trace the problem back to O'Malley to torpedo Hildebeast's challenger.

I'm just sayin'........

Could be the Mayor trying to pass the buck, "When I realized there was a problem I called the feds".
They don't need to do anything EFFECTIVE, they just need to be SEEN doing something.

The DOJ has conducted several "investigations" into local Police agencies in the recent past and in each case they found them to be hotbeds of all kinds of evil that needed exorcizing. They then sued demanding the Feds be given control of the agency.  The local agency simply does not have the resources to defend themselves, so they capitulate allowing the Fed to control the dept. and it's funding.

My thoughts are that these are the preliminary steps in gaining control of local LE agencies to set a precedent supporting BOs now open demands that all local LE agencies be placed under Fed. control. 

I don't imagine any of you find the any more appealing (appalling works here if you don't understand sarcasm) than I do.

One thought on the "nationalized police" They could not be to closely managed since laws differ from one state to another. Even the legal system isn"t standardized, that's why a lawyer can't practice in a state with out passing THAT state's bar exam.

They are only concerned with FEDERAL crime, FBI can't arrest you for things that are "state crimes" For example U turns are illegal in some states.
What the fascist liberals are talking about is Your city police being run from DC.

She is tossing gasoline and fanning the flames of hate.

This is all about creating as much social unrest as possible out of anger and envy.  Even those from the so called down trodden parts of society who have climbed out and shown it is possible have a hard time shaking the mentality of entitlement and of having been abused.
