Disproportianate Aggression. from NPR.
« on: August 13, 2008, 07:36:04 PM »
Alright, I will confess I set my alarm clock at 4:58 a.m. to NPR radio. They have those golf announcer type voices that are quiet and not screaming at me to buy a Ford from Fairway Ford's latest Incredible Summer Sale!!!!.

So this morning it went off, and exactly 1 minute into the headline news, the commentator was talking about the "conflict" in  Georgia, and how the Russians are being accused by the UN for "Disproportionate Aggression"  :o

Are you kidding me? Regardless who did what, if you call on the military to end/stop/cease/take back/ anything, the plan is to accomplish that goal, by whatever means.

"It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it."
General MacArthur

"Don't hit at all if it can be avoided, but never hit softly."
Theodore Roosevelt

The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving.
Ulysses S. Grant (1822 - 1885)

These are just a few. I'm sure the good 'ol Russians have a few of their own.  "Disproportionate Aggression?"

It's combat! The reasoning maybe wrong, the politics maybe wrong, but hello,.. ITS COMBAT!

Why turn the military loose? To hand out flowers and humbly request the ones who started it to go home? Pretty Please?

Here is 35 seconds of what NPR would consider dispropotionate aggession.

How's that for "disproportionate aggression"! ;D

Thank you for the rant. I may go back tho the Rock & Roll station on my alarm clock.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
