I wonder the same thing.  I had bad feeling things were going to get bad during the 2000 presidential election.  I knew we were in trouble when the fires in New York were still burning from 9/11 before the political crap and PC mentality to started back up.  At this point it's very difficult to have any optimism for what comes next...

On Saturday mornings we talk alot about about what is going on and what we see coming.  I am amazed at the way our nation is going with distractions like sports and tv while ignoring what our "leaders" are doing - Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.  I see many similarities to the fall of the Roman Empire.  We have a 90+ man who came from the Netherlands in the 40's, and his wife came from the Ukraine about the same time.  When they go married they spoke a combined five languages, but none in common.  He talks about living under the Communists and Hitler, and he warns us that what we are seeing today is the same as he and his wife saw before they fled.  His two strongest warnings are to never forget God, and never give up your guns.

Not only has America progressed to far to be saved, but after allowing the creep of socialism for 100 years America doesn't deserve to survive.
No country that "debates" enforcing it's borders is worth saving.
The lazy gutless parasites all want "govt" to do everything,(there ought to be a law ? ) While they are to damned stupid to pour piss out of a boot, (Need a LAW that's says don't text while driving ? ) and give them free shit, f*ck the deficit .
There isn't 1/10th of the population that even deserves to breathe.

Yep, blame the "Fat cat's" that pay 85% of income taxes. The ones that are only possible because of rules that YOU allow to be enforced. Like whining about the collapse of the housing market, and damning the banks for "predatory lending", but I didn't hear any one complaining about congress forcing those banks to loan to people who had no hope of repaying the loans.
