I admire Tam’s courage, trying the 2000 round challenge with a pocket .380, but this does raise the question as to why someone hasn’t cranked out a .22LR version of a pocket .380 by now.

For starters, I owned both a Walther PPK/s in .380 and in .22lr. They had been making them for years. Sold mine a while back for the reason Kevin states in the blog, and it drew a pretty penny from somebody mainly because it was German, not US made. I sold it because it served no purpose. I wasn't carrying the .380 any more and for .22lr target and plinking I have a Ruger MK I w/ iron sights and a Browning Buckmaster w/ red dot.
Walther is again offering them both in SS and blue steel. Price is under $400.

Anybody else have ideas along Kevin's desire.
