Hello from the NRA's newest LIFE member
« on: December 15, 2015, 09:29:23 AM »
Well I can not think of more appropriate pictures that the Old North Bridge in Concord Massachusetts, which I took years ago.

I have been a 1 in 3 year NRA member - letting membership lapse, renewing, lapsing.... wash rinse repeat for years and years

NO MORE!

I decided to "pull the trigger" on the offer of reduced cost life membership and now no longer feel like I'm not in 100%

So to celibate  - a few pictures of where it all started.

HI - I am the NRA.

Very appropriate since the arms the British were trying to seize in April had been stolen the previous December 15 from Ft. William and Mary in Newcastle NH.  Would you should at cops trying to recover stolen military weapons ?  Our ancestors not only would, but DID.
It is also the anniversary of the 1791 ratification of the Bill of Rights that Obama and the left hate so much.

Congratulations RTFM. I've been a life member for decades and never regretted it. Now I very rarely get any mail from them other than my monthly magazine. I get a few phone calls per year begging for money but they've basically let me be. That's my reward for doing the right thing.  ;)  I'm proud to be a lifer+.

Congrats, and thank you for the visual reminders of where we come from, (in liberty, that is)!!!
God bless! Make sure you do your homework and know, as best you can, who you're voting for on the ballots, too! That's a bigger deal than is often intimated.

Congratulations RTFM.  I've been a Life Member since 1965. I joined while I was in Vietnam and used Combat Pay to pay $25 a quarter until I was all paid up at $100. Which was a lot of money in those days for a LT with a wife and son. I have since upgraded several times, which I encourage all to do. We need to defend our rights and that takes $.

Way to go RTFM!  I was the same of you for over 30 years and finally did the same thing.  At this point in my life I quit looking at the "value" of life vs. annual, but it isn't always about my pocketbook:  What can the organization do with the money and me as a member, and what is the value of not needing to remember to reup ... I believe I have a couple lapsed ones out there right now ... USPSA???
