They have a 1,100 lumen light on sale too. Being that bright it must turn night into day. My "tactical" light may be 300 lumens. It's nothing like the new breed of lights. http://www.opticsplanet.com/streamlight-protac-hl-3-flashlight.html

OH MY GOSH.  OH MY GOSH.  1,100lumens.   MUST HAVE.   MUST HAVE.  They should call it a "magnum" flashlight.

The "arms race" is on.

I have a Streamlight scorpion that was all the rage 20 years ago at 60 lumen.  ::)

Time for a few new lights I think.

60 Lumens?   We got lighten' bugs in GA brighter than that.    (I suppose Texans have twice that bright, too.)

That's what I have. I thought it was in the 200-300 lumens range but I was way off. The Scorpion HL was 600 but now it's 725 lumens. When they say how many thousands of candelas the old one is it sounds impressive but If you look at the lumens it's only 78. I'm almost embarrassed to own it now.   ;)  The only good thing about it is it fits my weapons mount just right but the batteries are dead and I haven't even been using it. I think the lights I got for free at Harbor Freight are brighter.

I carried a 200 lumen three-way (high-low-strobe) in my pocket for a year.....just went back to a simple on-off 200 lumen for personal carry.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
