Good to here.  Wonder if internals are much different?  I like its looks.   But to compete with the LCR and 640 the price is a "big" problem.

Well, Tom, it's not a big deal, but it is a deal.  Like the Governor over the Judge.  6 shots is 20% more.  Now Kimber has one-upped S&W in its own backyard.  If I didn't already have a 3" Model 60, AND was in the market for a small carry revolver, Kimber would probably be the choice.

I don't think price will be an issue.  If you go to S&W website you will see that the Model 60 in stainless runs between $740 and $800, and the Model 640 (also with real sights, like the Kimber) runs $850.

A person looking at a Kimber is not going to spend much time comparing it to a Ruger LCP or a Smith Airweight, just like you don't see Mercedes drivers drooling over Lincolns or Cadillac owners yearning for an Impala.

Nice thing about buying a .357Magnum gun is that it is engineered to handle the abuse, but you can use .38spl+P or just .38spl if you choose.

And, my SP101 could be used to beat someone to death when short on ammo!

I'd look at it the other way.  How many people looking at  a 640 can you get to upgrade to a Kimber?   But then Kimber has always had a high price tag.   So then is Kimber saying that those in the "Kimber market strata" are looking for a comparable backup revolver  to go with their 1911?   Do they mean the Solo and Micro are loosing out to S&W?   Hmmm.    Revolvers rule.

Nah.  That's my 8" S&W 629.  It's a heck of a hammer and club.
