So much for editors doing their job. I am NOT a journalist but I assume there are at least 3 or 4 different people in the process of editing or approving articles before they are published.

Not any more.  With all the automation, many times, the article is only gets a cursory review from the editor if at all.    For a number of years, I'd point out some of the more egregious errors in our local paper.  I probably wasn't the only one, because after a while they ran an editorial explaining how articles can go from reporter to printing with no human review.   Cost cutting.

Just look at the whole thing with CNN leaking out false information that Carson had quit the race while they were still voting in Iowa. Now they're saying that is why Cruz outperformed his polling numbers. Which could be the reason he beat Trump. That was insane for CNN to release that off a Tweet without first checking with Carson's people to confirm it. And it came from their, "star political reporter" Dana Bash. There isn't a single drop of integrity in journalism any more.

Agree with Alf. I know a guy who does a history column in the local paper He does everything on his computer, formats, adds pictures then sends it to the editor who just inserts the ads and sends it to the printer.
I went into the other local paper (the free one that I read) and asked about a job as a proof reader.
The receptionist told me "we don't need a proofreader". I told her "Oh yes you do".

It isn't just guns. You need to remember that these reporters went to JOIRNALISM school, they kick ass in sentence structure, and English, but they don't generally know squat about anything else.

You wouldn't fly with an airline pilot that had that philosophy. Why should we accept journalists with the same?  ;D

I don't have to read journalists' work.  A pilot has a captive audience, all the way to area of the crash  ;D.
