It just may be possible that Mitt had a true Paul on the Road to Damascus experience.  Unlikely, but possible.

What is infinitely more likely is that the tone-deaf  GOP/RNC still hasn't got the message that the people want to make their own choice--not just accept the choice of some invisible party elite.  So, the GOP/RNC had Romney bring the tablets down from the mountain and tell vast numbers of citizens that they are stupidly voting for the wrong guy.

Now, don't get me wrong--I think Mitt is right.  Of all the possible Repub candidates Trump is the very worst.  But, I also think that message cannot come down from on high.  The Repub rank and file is rightly pissed that the party has done nothing to stop the Dummycrap agenda over the past 4 years.  After all, we gave 'em the House.  We gave 'em the Senate.  And they gave us Odamna's full, bloated budget including funding for Planned Parenthood.  They gave us unprotected borders.  They gave us an influx of potential terrorists.  The Party of Lincoln morphed into the Party of Odamna Support Contingent.

Now, the masses of disaffected voters are saying, "We tried your brand of hope and change.  It was awful.  Now we want our brand of hope and change."  And brothers, it's going to be a disaster.

I do not think Trump is inevitable.  He may derail himself as he tries to explain policy issues that he does not fully understand.  What I do know is it must not look like the Party Elite is stealing the election from the rank and file choice.  That will spell the end of the Republican Party.

Trump can win hands down, all he has to do is commit to nothing , just keep hammering on the continuous failure of everything the Dems represent. Socialism, illegal immigration, high taxes, deficit spending weak defense etc.
Personally, while I would have preferred a Cruz, Perry, Brewer, or Walker, I think Trump IS inevitable.
The more the establishment try to cram a mediocre turd like Rubio on the voters the harder they will push back by supporting the perceived "outsider" the GOP and media both hate.

Agree 110% ! Trump doesn't have to talk about what he will do. He just needs to keep hammering out what they shouldn't be doing. If he wins Florida, (which he's poised to), it's all over.

Get rid of Rubio and Kasich and it's a horserace to the convention.  Rubio isn't ready and Kasich can't get it done!

Remember, the convention rules are not LAW! 

If Cruz can come close to Trumpelstiltskin then why wouldn't we want someone who believes in the Constitution rather than one that may or may not have read the document?  The problem exists that Trumpelstiltskin cannot be trusted even though he's said twice he'd support the one nominated.  He will go third party in a heartbeat and then it's all over.

Cruz surprised me with Maine.  Also Kansas...thought for sure they'd go with Trump.

As far as Romney, Rubio or Kasich....they seem like good reasons not to vote.

After last night, it looks like it's going to be Trump all the way. Kasich is nothing more than an annoying, buzzing fly at this point. It's only a matter of time before Cruz realizes, much like Rubio, he isn't going to make it. About all that's left for Trump to do, is fire up the 450 horsepower meat grinder he's going to throw Hillary into. Asshole Romney must really be crying now!
