I'm sure some are going for those prices and higher - but I highly doubt that the examples rearsenaled after WW2 are that high yet. It's the examples that are original and rare that are pricey.
Given that Russia can no longer export guns or ammo to the US, I expect that the days of cheap and cheap to shoot Mosins are numbered. In fact, the 440 round spam cans are going to over $200.00. Cheapest I saw was 880 rounds for over $300.00. I might have to start loading my own ammo with cast bullets to keep the costs down........
In fact, since one of the main reasons for owning a Mosin is cheap ammo, I think they might eventually get cheaper
