I just spent $15 for the Kindle edition of John Lott's latest, "The War on Guns".

This will have no effect on the gun control debate because the only ones who will read it will be a few ultra hard core reviewers on either side and an occasional insomniac.
As an author John Lott is a great economist.
This is not a book, it is an academic presentation , dryer than dust with no readability for the casual reader who would benefit from the information if it were presented in a manner that was not flat out boring.
I read declassified KGB records for fun, and this book put me to sleep.

Thanks for saving me the money, Tom.  Maybe he could get Ann Coulter to do a Cliff Notes version.

Speaking of Ann, I use to be a fan of Kathleen Parker when she wrote for the Orlando Sentinel.  Occasionally exchanged an email or two and she seem to be fairly conservative.    However in the last couple of years she's become somewhat of a left leaning, liberal version of Ann.    Changed both her views and is more acid tongued than I remember.   Anybody else noticed?

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
