« on: October 04, 2016, 02:21:46 AM »

 >:(

just under 2k miles ago I put a new tranny, gear vendors OD,  and swaped the gears in the rear end...

yeah, I know its a old truck, but it ran like a top and was actually built out of Steel( which new trucks are not)

funny that the owner of the company drove the oldest truck in the fleet by 15 years lol

I will miss it.

That is the main reason I don't want to get rid of my 1991 F-150. I fear that happening if I did. I can't justify spending well into 5 figures for a vehicle I won't put that many miles on. My trans leaks, but doesn't slip. So I'll wait before having it rebuilt.

How many miles on it?

How many miles on it?

If you're asking me, only 152,000 mi. Not bad for a 25 year old vehicle.

they don't make a crew cab with an 8' bed anymore.

Everyone okay? The last time I checked a Chevy truck with the options I want was $36,000. I'll have to keep driving my old rust bucket for several more years and hope I don't have an accident.

I've 183,000 on an F250 and the wife had 405,000 on the Excursion.  Both diesel beasts.

Frank I bet the price goes up when Chevy has to start paying taxes again....I buy used when I can get a good one.  The two up top were purchased new but most of our vehicles have been used.

getting a little over 15k... not bad for a 93...

value of the truck is ~9k replacement value and 6 weeks ago I put 6300 in upgrades( which I am getting all back)

only thing I hate about her is no fault... it was 100% their fault, but our insurance still splits.

oh yeah, dealing with a comm'l policy is so much better then private.

buy back is 4k.   it just does not make sense.  between the bed, doors and cab from the junkyard is 6k.( what ever happended to the $50 fenders?)
