Smith model 41... when was it built.

Anyone know of any web sites like coltautos.com  for smith?
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

The SW Forum may help.  I have seen folks request DOB for their SW's there.

I thought the company would give you the history of it if you tell them the serial number. They may charge you for doing the research.

Do you have the box? Describe the box, or give me a picture if possible, the shipping box will tell the approximate age, give or take 8  - 10 years.

If you give me the serial number I can tell you the approximate date of birth by year or range. I can look it up in my Standard Catalog of smith and Wesson. That is the best source. Also there is an active thread in "The Firing Line Forum" that will help you out. Sorry I hit this thread late.

For 30 bucks the historian Roy Jenks will give you a letter.

I knew they used to do that. It's like a birth certificate for your gun. It could be worth $30 just to get Roy G. Jinks autograph.
