Snow flurries mixed with rain during church this morning with temps in the high 30's. Supposed to be in the mid-20's for lows the next few mornings.

We're forecast for a high of 8f Monday. Also supposed to be windy. Not comfortable, but to make it worse the lift gate does not like those temps. It never acts up when it is down, but it loves to shut itself off when it is up, and then I need to find my way to the ground ... Gently.

We're going to get 6" of snow Friday and another 3 on Saturday based on this morning's forecast.  Looks like single digit lows starting Friday afternoon  and only up into the mid-20's until Monday.   

I ran our two generators for 15 minutes this weekend.  They will get topped off with gas and put in place for the bad thing if we lose electricity.  Better to have them ready to run then to be messing around with them in single digit weather.

Yeah, I can imagine.
Hard to work in gloves (even good fitting ones) and my hands no longer work as well when below about 35°... especially if there's a wind chill.
A few years ago we had a sudden cold snap with wind chill in the teens and I got busy and it snuck up on me late in the day and I had forgot to winterize the camper. It was miserable trying to get it done in the cold.

It's 4 degrees but feels like 7 below. There's a Winter Weather Advisory until 10 am and a Hazardous Weather Outlook for a week because it's so cold. I might get 2 or 3 inches of snow before it's over.

A similar situation is what I am attempting to avoid.  As a child our family naturally would be ready for bad weather (hurricane, cold, whatever) before it hit so that we would not have to get out in it to "fix things".  There is a vast number of people who don't get it.  Mostly democrats and their socialist/communist friends...they lack "look ahead" functioning brain cells.

Welcome to south GA...... high Thursday and Friday is supposed to be at least 70° and the highs Sunday and Monday are 54° and 42° respectively.

I talked to the S-I-L Monday, and wife talked to daughter today, and the snowbirds are whining. It has been nippy in Naples for two weeks now. I asked S-I-L if he wanted some cheese & crackers to go with the whine as I reminded him who was up here making sure their snow was shoveled from their driveway they won't touch until late April.

It's 25 degrees and there's an extreme cold watch. I've been staying in all week, but will eventually have to go to the store. Probably during the coldest day of the year.
