What does it take to find media that can report without hyping? That can describe without parroting worn out words and phrasing?
Earlier today there were to incidents in other countries: The Russian Ambassador to Turkey was assassinated; and a truck driver ran into a crowd of people in Germany. The very first reports on both of them labeled them as "terrorist attacks." All afternoon we have heard over and over that they are both terror and nobody is claiming responsibility. The talking heads can't figure out why ISIS is not claiming responsibility for these terror attacks.
NOT EVERY ACT OF VIOLENCE IS A TERROR ATTACK!
I'm not saying that these may not be terror attacks, but, in the bigger picture, our media has decided that every thing is a terror attack. Why are the uneducated susceptible to, and even educated get sucked in, to fake news? Because, our media sees something, reports what they want it to be, and then quietly change as the facts come out and it fades away.
This issue parallels hate crimes. Not every crime is a "hate" crime. Or maybe even the infamous "gate." Do any of these so called reporters even know that the reason Pres. Nixon's issue was labeled "Watergate" is because the name of the hotel was The Watergate? Adding the word "gate" to the end of every scandal does not make you look clever or smart. IT MAKES YOU LOOK STUPID AND UNINFORMED!
