I'm more interested in how many liberals we can send West.
I think Les is wrong,to a point.
I think this time it will be the budget office, not the war dept that kills their little dream.

wishful thinking  :).... but, we've already had one War of Northern Aggression in 1861-1865 that kind of rules it out

Took the words out of my mouth....I had started something I did not finish and post last night about who should run their Reconstruction but the pain of the DNA induced memories just wouldn't let me finish it.

Just remember. Pretty much everything you know about "reconstruction" was fed to you by Democrats.

Tom that is an inescapable fact.  I feel better now.  I needed that jostling of inherited memory to get the proper perspective.

That proper perspective is that someone that hails from south of the Mason-Dixon line should run California's reconstruction should they choose to leave the union....because they are gonna wanna come back in after a while.

So on their way out we should attempt to foster and, at least in part, finance a mass migration of like minded people to California and provide assistance to those wanting to leave California for a more conservative climate.

A win-win kind of a thing for everyone....except California.  They need to do this and live with it 10-15 years so the children will hate it more than the parents do.

They get their water from Hoover dam right. California gets its power from other states right. Shut it off and let Escape from L.A. the movie happen for a while. We will watch what happens and when the rioting and looting is over go from there.

Hey, that sounds like a plan.  8)

California has nuclear power, for the time being, and they are big in solar and wind.  I don't know how much power they import vs. export.  They may be energy neutral.

Water is another issue.  They are draining ever major river north and east of them.  I remember in the 60's and 70's that they were working on large scale desalination, but they can't seam to get it done.

Only Diablo Canyon is still operating!  Rancho Seco and San Onofre are shut down...

I'd guess the 18000 giga watts annually ain't powering anything but LA...

CA and their antis have done their damage!

They scream and scream for clean energy, and then protest and shut down the cleanest reliable energy source there is.  When I see the protests concerning nuclear plants they refer to WWII and the long term effects.  Imagine if anyone would educate these people to the actual source of many other weapons of mass destruction that are derived from products like freon, gasoline, diesel fuel, and computer technology.  Maybe they would start protesting against those products as well.
