Please Sign Whitehouse.gov Petition Re: Designation of Protected Militia Rifles Exec. Order!

Request for an executive order designating certain semi-automatic and bolt action rifles in military calibers as militia rifles, and prohibiting their regulation by state and local governments.  Many state and local governments ban such rifles, this limiting the effectiveness of the unorganized militia should it ever be called into service.  The right of all citizens and legal aliens who are legally able to purchase firearms under federal law would be protected by the president acting as Commander in Cheif of both the organized and unorganized militia.

Protected rifles would include: AR-15 and similar semi-automatic rifles, M1A and similar semi-automatic rifles, M1 Garand and similar semi-automatic rifles.  Bolt action rifles in the calibers of .30-’06 Springfield; 7.62 NATO or .308 Winchester; 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington would also be included.
