From one project to another
« on: September 03, 2008, 11:28:02 PM »
 Well I sold the *mm Mauser for 4 times what I paid for  but now my landlord has a Remington 700 that he wants reblued but failed to tell me that it is a basket case, as I will shortly have time to work on this I have found myself in a bit of a quandary as the bolt stop and pins and sprig have been disassembled and I have no clue how they they go back together as I usually only work on 1911's.
 Yes I looked up the manual on Remington's web sight but that did not help much so I thought with all the knowledge you  peoplehave here maybe I could get a hand  here thanks in advance.

Go to Brownell's.com and then their schematics, and it will show an exploded view, if that don't get it, message me and I will walk you through it.

All play and no work,,,wait,, All work and no play,.... that's not right either.

Working on guns, really isn't work to some is it? ;) ;D

Famous quote from my wife some months ago:

"Are you just going to sit up there all day and "play" with those d*** guns?!, What's that smell?! Smells like oil!"

My humble and quick reply,......

Yes Dear.. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ;)
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
