I think back in the 50's and 60's, Browning offered some of their automatic pistols in a, "Renaissance Gold" theme that looked like that. They're worth big bucks today.

The Broomhandle C96 makes me laugh!

I watched Joe Kidd the other day and Clint's Mauser had like a 50 round magazine or something!

LOL!

I vaguely remember some Western where the bad guy had a C96 with a stock and long barrel.
The 20 round detachable boxes on Mauser's didn't come out till the 20's or 30's when they brought out the full auto, "Schnellfeur" (sp ?) to compete with the Astra 902 in the Chinese market.

I don't think I ever watched one of this guy's videos all the way through before but I found this fascinating. I've seen pictures of guns with gold applied in various patterns but the only thing I knew about was the wire work.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. I'm working my way through all 1000 of the Forgotten Weapons video's.
In Range, not so much.
CandRsenal is also awesome.

Clint had the bad guys Mauser after he kilt em in the bell tower!  One scene, the bad guy loads a ten round stripper clip...  later Clint takes the ten rounds and fired forty or fifty round without a reload!

Amazeballs!  LOL

Magic self loading Broomhandle!
