leaky sink....
« on: July 11, 2017, 12:37:50 AM »
so I just got off the phone with a client that had a leak coming from the bottom of their garbage disposal.

"I can not help you tonight, I do not have a disposal in stock"( even if I did after 10 pm I am not leaving the house for less then a grand)

"so when can you get here?"

"I can not help you tonight, I do not have a disposal in stock.  I can refer you too plumbers that might be able to help you tonight"

"so you are not going to come?"

"no, sorry there is nothing I can do for you as I do not have the parts in stock."

"so how much would it cost too have fixed"

"about $400 for high quality unit"

"so if I offer you $500 can you fix it tonight"

some times I wonder how I don't tell these people off.

People are self-centered spoiled brats.  Their problems supersede other people's life needs and desires.  Simply because their need is immediate to them someone else is supposed to take care them....was this a Democratic/socialist/communist voter?
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
-William Pitt, British Prime-Minister (1759-1806)

I thought this title was going to lead to a story about TAB washing his Glock with the dishes and having an accidental dishcharge :)

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

most likely a california import.... they welcomed me with open arms, most Californians, they want too shoot on site.

Speaking of great neighbors, the rancher that is next to my property, called up 2 weeks ago or so, out of oxy ace wonder if he could barrow mine.   So we loaded it in his truck and off he went.  Not been back until today.  He brought them back full, hydro check and 2  2" thick ribeyes. (He does grass fed beef for lots of high end steak houses and butcher shops)

I was not expecting that, I knew Iliked him from the day we met.  He was checking the fence lin on horse back with a 1911 and an ar.  He also leases 35 of my 40 acres for grazing for property tax.  Now the other side of me is a birkinstock wearing reitried lawyer from sf, that wanted to sue me after construction equipment scared his horses and they got into barbed wire...  I told him here is my attorney, talk to her.   Now my attorney is a named partner at a 170 ish attorney law firm in sf...he recognised the name and I never heard back from him. Funny how that works, I am the wrong person to try and bullie.i
