So some member of the congregation died last week.  The family has schedule the memorial service for...



Wait for it....

1:30pm on Eclipse Day!     We're a 97% site with the max occurring at 2:36!   

After the ceremony, which will probably go until 2:15pm, the family will adjourn outside at our columbarium for an internment of the ashes.  Yep, probably right at max eclipse.  AND, of course, the columbarium faces south for max exposure to the eclipse.

Yea, things have changed since the 70's!  Back then they were just stoned hippies but at least they respected property.

It starts here about 9 with 97% at around 10:20.  I might be up and watch or I might still be snoozing, hard to say...   8)

The only ones that will commit suicides are those that miss their ride back "home" with the little green men.

Speaking of, they are supposed to land here in Kentucky in Hodgensville. Here in Louisville we will get about 96% coverage for the "moon shadow" event (Boy I used to love listening to Cat Stevens before he "converted")
