How long did it take for you to actually get it?
The ammo I order a few years ago just at the start of the first big buyout spree under the first Obama term.  It's good ammo...put a hundred or so rounds downrange in June.  It only took a couple of weeks.

The gun came later.  I bought it from an guy in OKC.  $800 it was a steal

IMO long action rifles should have long action cartridges.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Mine arrived about 3 weeks after the paper work and payment was sent in. My sixth edition Hornady reloading book has a section just for the Garand. I chose H 4895 with the 150 gr. sp. H-4895 is one of the powders that creates the right amount of gas to operate the action with out pounding the parts too bad.
