Ed Head discussing the Chiappa Triple recently asked, "After all, what could be more intimidating than looking down the barrel, make that the barrels, of a triple-barreled 12 gauge shotgun?"

Simple math would say that looking down the barrels of a six-barreled 12 gauge would be twice as intimidating.  ;)

I was taught that how to handle a hostage situation where the bad guy was looking out from behind the hostages head, you should aim at the outside edge of the bad guy's exposed ear...this would be at at conversation distances. 

I'm not sure how well that might work with a 3 or 6 barreled shotguns.....plus you need an assistant to haul ammo if you have to reload more than 2 or 3 times  =)

If you're going to go big, you may as well go 50% bigger.

How about a quad-barreled shotgun instead of a triple? Reggie used it to good effect in a few of the Phantasm movies. YouTube has some videos of him shooting it.
