Sorry to be late chiming in.

I met Lee at a couple of the GSSF National Matches.  One time we did get to talk for about 5 minutes.  He's what you'd expect.  Solid, basic Marine.  Good guy.   Picture attached below.


Also, if you haven't read Kevin's short missive about why Gunny matters, then you should.  Actually you should read Kevin all the time anyway.

If I ever got a bulldog I'd name him Arlee in honor of Gunny Ermey. We need more people like him, now more than ever.

P.S. One of my small arms repair instructors in the army was a gunnery sergeant we all called Gunny. Our class was army and marines together. One day he showed us an M40 sniper rifle but IIRC we didn't get to fondle it.
