I keep forgetting to post about my newest plastic knife, the Cold Steel FGX Skean Dhu. The first thing I did with it was get 2 pairs of pliers to twist open and remove that ridiculous steel ring. Who wants an "undetectable" non-metallic knife
that sets off metal detectors? The blade tapers down in thickness toward the tip and I was wondering if it would be too flimsy. It made me think about a Richard Pryor routine I heard decades ago about some mafia guys talking to each other. One guy says he was stabbing some guy in the head with an ice pick and the handle broke off. He looked at the guy's head, looked down at his hand, then looked over to the other guy and said, "Hey Tony, what do I do now?" The answer was, "Wait'll it melts, a**hole." I watched the video on Cold Steel's website and I'm not so worried anymore. The part with the Skean Dhu starts at 4:19.
