Once again Obama shows his lack of class, experience, and reliance on speech writers that are idiots. His foot in mouth syndrome is becoming more evident as the home stretch begins.

Can't wait to see the debates, and which "animal" shows itself. Biden better watch his a**.
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

It's an interesting situation. Did he say it and mean it? Did he say it and not mean it as Palin smear, but rather in the traditional vein of business as usual? Or did he mean it as a Palin shot, but figured he'd get away with taking a "what? I've used that before Palin." stance.

Anyway you look at it, people will see it for what it really is - not enough experience to realize this was not a smart move no matter how it was meant.
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

Tough...1st Amendment!
Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington
