Yea, those kind of quality systems tend to inflate the cost of everything the shop does on less stringent customers.  We weren't AS9100 but our quality systems basically priced us out of any reasonably easy work we quoted.

Doesn't matter now, my shop shut it's doors on March 30 and left 40 of us out on the street minus our last two weeks salary and unpaid vacation and sick time!  They owe me about 5K!

When Chevron bought Gulf I lost $450 a month in retirement benefits.

The courts in OK where our mother ship was incorporated in the US gave the whole thing to the Canadian courts since the main company was based out of Calgary.  MA law requires that we be paid all of our wages including unpaid vacation and accrued sick time however, the AG has given us little hope that we'll see anything at all due to the Canadians having control.

Just accepted a part time gig at the gun counter at our local Cabela's!

Should be fun...minimum wage but that's nearly $13 bucks here...

Thanks!  I was doing part time at Lowe's but the place was toxic...worked there for a month.  I'm limited on income for SSA.  Working 25-30 hours until I'm 65 then I'll decide if I want to pick up more hours.  I have SS, small pension and possibly a small disability from the VA coming.  We're fine unless I need health care...playing roulette on that issue at the moment.

Obamacare/Romneycare is not cheap so I opted not to buy it...
