The lead singer was a heavy smoker and died of lung cancer when she was 40. I wonder if she got coal in her stocking? Or just tar in her lungs?

I have this CD by Ethan James, The Ancient Music of Christmas. He was member of Blue Cheer, a record producer, recording engineer, and master of the hurdy gurdy who also played the symphonium. On this album of ancient holiday carols he plays the hurdy-gurdy, saz (a Middle eastern lute), and guitar. He's accompanied only by Catherine Alexander, whoever she may be, on percussion. It couldn't be much more different from Summertime Blues.
