About Ruger.   There's always a "gotcha".    In the Super GP-100 case it is the red-dot mount.  Didn't they think, making a competition gun, that it would be smart to make it easy to mount red-dots right out of the box?   One shouldn't have to go get a custom made mount for a rather common make of dot.

With the single exception of the LCR polymer revolver, Ruger has never innovated anything.
What they do, very well, is see what people want, then produce a solid reliable product that balances strength and affordability.
And it isn't just Ruger.
Colt and S&W are just as bad.
Colt has that ass backwards cylinder release.
And which direction does an S&W cylinder revolve ?   ;D

About the S&W.....as Rooster Cogburn might say, "BACKWARDS! It always goes backwards when it's backin' up!"  ;D

I love my Colt Agent, but you're right about that cylinder release.

The S&W cylinder typically rotates AGAINST the crane which means more wear and shorter service life.
But those bastards at Colt went a PATENTED clockwise rotation .
So S&W came up with the Triple lock.     ;D
