Rastus should be chiming in sometime during the weekend.  He has suppressors on multiple calibers, including .22.

There's a lot of options out there, but yeah I vote Browning.  Many variations and it's a great gun..

Yes, I thought of that while I was writing .
But all other things being equal he'll have after market parts that aren't available for anything else but Ruger ?
Why spend more money on a less adaptable gun ?

Two thoughts about after market parts.  a)  The Buckmark probably has the 2nd most available after Ruger, so not shabby  b) No sure you need to "fix up" a Buckmark as much as you do a Ruger.    Also remember a barrel (upper) replacement on a Ruger is a new gun while not so on a Buckmark.

Yep.

On the Buckmark, two top screws come out and loosen the barrel retaining set-screw and off comes nee barrel and on goes another.... five minutes and you're back shooting.

Disassembly is by far much easier on the Buckmark than the Ruger.

I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

The Ruger Mark 4 has a push button that takes the pistol apart for cleaning, Very easy and you don't need 3 hands to put it back together anymore.
