Rockcastle Shooting Center

This was neat destination place.   On-site lodge and restaurant.   Action Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun ranges.  Golf Course.  2,000 acres with their own caves.

It closed this year and everyone is hoping someone, with money, would pick it up and get it back into action.

What I've heard (yes this is 3rd-4th hand rumor) is that the property was auctioned in 5 pieces and it was bought by 5 different buyers.  Remains to be seen whether they are all interested in a destination shooting venue or whether they each have their own idea about their property.  Shooting could still work without the lodge, but it wouldn't be the same.

Forgot to inquire last weekend.  Will be shooting N. GA USPSA match (116 people) this Saturday.  I'll ask around.

Sadly, with  Wuhan Flu lockdowns and the severe limitations on socializing I haven't heard anything.   

I was going to see my main source of RC info tomorrow at the ICORE match, but due to weather it's just been cancelled.  ;(

My next opportunity to get some info will be 4/24 at the River Bend USPSA match.
