charlie daniels passed away yesterday.   He was 83

Not only did we lose a great entertainer and musician, we lost a great voice for conservatives.
He will be missed.

MB and Charlie were friends.   In 1982, Michael did an interview of Daniels for Esquire.

Wayne La Pierre had to stick his own face in the middle of the NRA saying something nice about Charley Daniels as Mr. La Pierre claims all the credit all the time.

Enjoy his music....

Somehow,  it feels like I won't miss  him.....Listening to his  music will always bring him to life....

Some years ago, I was eating dinner with friends in a bar/restaurant and a  man approached our table, excused him self, but said he could not help but asking if I was Charlie Daniels.  Told him I was not.  Should have put my finger to my lips and "Shuuu"ed...

That's what I get for being 6'2", heavy set with longish grey hair and beard....

With my size, hair, and beard I used to have I only got called "Santa" by a lot of kids.  Sheeeesh!
