2020 over please!
« on: November 24, 2020, 05:04:09 PM »
I've had my fill of 2020, 3 deaths/ 2 aunts and a uncle, lost my job on November 2nd, the damn virus, the election. The next 4 years will be tough with the Dem's running the show, time to hang in there and stick together. Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Stay safe.....

This may sound a bit heartless, but I'm glad my wife and I have no family left. Especially with all of the crap going on in the world today. It makes things a lot easier. (She has 1 older sister who is a walking train wreck, and she has nothing to do with her).  Tomorrow we're going to have homemade pizza, (I hate turkey), and just relax and hangout with the dog.

We have never exchanged gifts on birthdays and holidays either. So that keeps us out of the stores with all of the cattle this time of year. Instead we just buy what we want, when we want. Overall it's a LOT cheaper, and you don't wind up having a garage sale 3 times a year. So you can get rid of all of your old crap, so you can fill the house back up with new crap.

I don't watch football anymore, since all of those overpaid idiots started kneeling. And NASCAR got boring when they started building cars out of tubes, small block engines, and sheet metal. So I've got some gun projects I'll mess around with, and just take it easy. All you guys take care if you're out on the road, and have a good holiday.

This has been a truly wretched year for so many because of the awful plague.

I believe Covid killed my father.  No, he didn't have the disease, but he lived in an Assisted Living Facility, and they totally locked the place down to prevent anyone getting the disease.

No one could come in and no one could go out.  Communal dining was eliminated, so all meals were taken in the rooms.

The last nine months of my dad's life were spent in solitary confinement with no social interaction available.  And my sister was just two miles away from him.  She was not allowed in to see him until they were pretty sure he was at the end of his life and hospice had been called.

As a final affront, I couldn't even go to his funeral--it was in Mesa, Arizona;  I live in St. Petersburg, Florida--because airlines were limiting travel and we didn't fully understand the risk associated with air travel.

So 2020 can go and eff itself.  I won't miss it.

Shooter glad to see you back!  Yes, we're trying to stay safe here.  lots going sideways in 2020....and I hate to say it...if this stolen election stands this may be the good old days.

The tolatarians have become adept at stealing votes and keeping it quiet...and they'll do better the next time which means we are cooked.  Even if the senate does not flip over to the dims, there will be no election in the future that relinquishes control from the liars to the people.

I think Tom is right...I doubt the people will rise up to their constitutional duty.

Tab...what up? 20 hours one way?  You headed to OKC?

Crusader I'm with you too.  I am thankful my 91 year old mom is able to live at home alone.  My father-in-law is in a nursing home under similar conditions but he's OK with being alone.  At this point we cannot rely on the institutions we had come to rely on.  Meaning now that we see what's going on we're going to have to take more direct ownership of issues and gravitate from those institutions as possible.  Which is a travesty.  Who would have thought this would overcome our nation so swiftly?

So sorry for everyone's loses.  Family and jobs.

Miss Kitty and I have been blessed so far.  I fear my "time" will come in 2021.

I fear for my retirement, for the health of extended family, and for all my DRTV friends.

Shooter!  Good to see some life!

2020 has been cray cray for true!  Condolences on losses to all!  My brother lost his mother in law but other than that, we’re healthy.

Looking forward to a quiet rest of the year and thankful I don’t have any skin in the stock market as we enter into the Biden “Dark winter”!

I'm not giving up on Trump.  The election was a sham....
