Desert Tech Micron Conversion Kit

Desert Tech makes a Micron conversion kit to turn any of their MDRX side eject or forward eject, or MDR rifles, into an SBR with an 11.5" barrel. Since they're already bullpups, the overall length is under 23.5". You get a PDW size package with a SMG length barrel, in a rifle caliber that should be more effective than other similar sized packages.

I haven't seen any stocked pistols in 5.56x45mm with 11.5" barrels. I've seen stocked pistols in 9x19mm with ~4"-4.75" barrels, and they didn't have nearly as much power or penetration.

Most bullpup rifles are already so butt-heavy that if you hold them just with your firing hand they want to point upward. This has got to be even worse. Maybe only good for taking pot shots at aircraft if you one-hand it, but it's still the most firepower available for it's size. My ideal bullpup rifle would have a 24" heavy barrel on it, not a light - medium 16" like most of them, and certainly not one this short. Something like a Steyr AUG HBAR that fires from a closed bolt, set up as a DMR, not firing from an open bolt like the AUG LMG. But since the barrel alone on the heavyweight rifle is longer than the overall length of the Micron, it would be a lot harder to conceal on your person.
