Cause the Massholes are bumper to bumper on one side of the highway or the other.
My preference is SOUTH BOUND.

Traffic was moderately to light this past weekend thru Portsmouth and southern ME.  It’s early in the season though!  It looks like they’re changing over the toll areas to photograph tolls in ME so that should help in the future.  The speed limit in ME is 70 so 90 is the normal travel speed!

Yes, basically, since this is IDPA most all mag changes are done at slide lock, I shift the left hand and press the mag release.  Then swing  the hand  down to grab the next mag.  I've done overhand slide release so much I'm having trouble breaking myself of it for competition and using the slide release.   Something I'll work on dry firing over the next week or so.  And this is why I want to do as many matches as I can before I go.

Friggin' record heat.
We hit 95 several times in May.

Remember the media talking about "Record Cold" ?
We actually had 3 or 4 shitty days then see above.

The coast was very pleasant!  Low 90’s with a cool ocean breeze!  Stripers weren’t biting yet!  Another week and I’m trying again...

TO DO:

  • Buy P365   < ---- traded in Shield
  • Buy extra mags
  • Register for slot/squad  <----- squad 32 Friday
  • Break gun return to SIG  <---- bad sear, returned 4/23
  • Procure ammo  <----  Another 200 AE Syntech from Federal Premium today
  • Practice   <-- 1093 Total - 3 IDPA, 1 USPSA Matches
  • Make travel plans   <---going solo, airline booked, hotel booked
  • Go
  • Shoot
  • Collect awards  ;)

Practice and competition got interrupted by in-laws.  Missed the last indoor IDPA league.  (Shooting Revo in USPSA because I only need one 60.2% classifier to move up to B. Maybe this Saturday out door or next week indoor.  Did Steel Challenge for fun with .22 pistol iron sights.)

Things are shaping up otherwise.    Delta will let me take up to 11# of ammo which should more than cover it.  Already had the secured/locked hard case and padlocks.  Making my list of what to take, trying to keep it simple.  While the in-laws were a 10 day distraction I did get to make the trek to the airport and check out the traffic and parking.  There's that.

The gun is continueing to function well.   Wish they'd come out with some more details about the match.  Maybe right after the 4th.   Thursday is a competition class but $700 extra I'll pass.  I can get most of the pro-tips on-line.

Less than 3 weeks now....

I'm going to be there the weekend before to help with setup.  Don't know how much I'll get to be there during the match (work gets in the way).  I've already confirmed with Michael Bane that he'll be there.  Hope I get to see him and Alf.  Working 3rd shift wreaks havoc on one's social life.

In other news, they're doing an employees-only Handgun 101 class at the academy, and I get to go.  Very excited about that.
