10/22 stuff
« on: September 21, 2021, 09:27:51 AM »
I just got a 10/22 from RIA.
I'd like to replace the factory stock with a full length one like  this :

https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/411549086/ruger+1022+international+blwd+1265

Can't find a stock though .
Don't want to spend a fortune, but time isn't an issue.
Any suggestions ?

Of course pay attention to which barrel the stock will accommodate, standard or .92.

I'd call or email Ruger customer service.  It's not listed as a part on their web site but they might sell you one directly.
Will work for ammo

WOW. Just WOW!

I recently rebuilt my 10/22 from the ground up - Volquardsen everything, new trigger, cleaned and Duracoated the barrel, etc. It was a garage sale find years ago, I acquired the parts over the years and finally had time to get it all together. Never even saw this stock. I've always had a thing for the 1876 Winchester in musket stock as used by the RCMP, missed the chance to make my 10/22 look like it's big (.45-60) brother.

$6500 Winchester . . .

Tom,I put a WTB ad on the Ruger forum, if one is available, it will be there. I'll forward any info I get to you.

Depending on the stock cost, you may just want to get one from Gunbroker.  Three are listed below but they have several more.  Search on RSI and International.

I've wanted one of these things for years.  Maybe next year or so (one in 22Mag would be nice).  I got hung up on the discontinued CZ 452 rimfire Mannlichers instead.  The newer models have "straight pipe" barrels and other cheapened aspects incorporated in their design.

Yeah that's it.
But I've GOT the gun, I'm just looking for the furniture, preferably wood.
Some careful wording there.   ;D

Yep, I knew you have the gun.  Make certain whatever you buy has the end cap for the end of the stock.
