Fun in Lower Alabama
« on: November 29, 2021, 10:45:57 AM »
Miss Kitty wantd to get away for the week.  Our favorite haunts were sold out, so she tried Gulf Shores, AL.  Actually we were almost to Ft Morgan on the tip of the island.

T W E N T Y    L O N G   M I L E S  from the nearest store.  Oh well we got LA out of our system for a while.

But some interesting things about LA.  Apparently it's a thing to go there and eat snakes because they had a sign warning you that some of them were poisonous.    I'd be more worried about venomous ones myself.

The there's the rip tide sign.  I know sign writers are cramped for space, but if I can't Escape or Float or Thread Water, then what?

And the traffic.  Seems everyone's in a hurry to crash.   Short video of a truck laying down a 100' of tread.   And a $250k+ Airstream RV just after it got side swiped.    I was hanging back from the truck because he had just about run a car off the road changing lanes only about 30 seconds before he decided to test his breaking ability.   I will give him and A plus on maintaining control.  You'll notice the black car bail quickly after that.  I'd of bailed sooner.

We didn't do any shopping except at Publix.

I'm the last one to go to a Tanger Outlet, because I wanted to visit the Sketchers outlet store. ;)

I can't see why women always want to pile into those outlets.  It drives me mad...if the dang things are that important she could drive a couple of hours to get to one and get it out of her system (maybe) but no.....we have to do that during vacation and waste my time off.....

You know that's the way Miss Kitty feels about stopping at gun stores while on vacation.

Should of heard her about Bud's Gun Shop and The Knife Store when we went to Sevierville, TN.

Do I have to explain EVERYTHING ?

Vacation at CABELA'S !
Clothes on one floor, guns on another, and they probably have a snack bar.
What more could you want ?        ;D

Semi skidding:

Time to fix the abs.  If it is old enough to not have abs, adjust brakes - BACK THEM OFF!

Empty trailer and tight brakes = Lots of flat spots in the tread.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.
