Any reccomendations on a double stack longslide 1911?

6", 7", or other, hunting, competition, or something else. Most single-stack holsters work just fine for double-stacks, but the longslide presents the same problem I run into with a comp. Instead of getting something that encloses the whole pistol, a belt-slide may work better. They're a lot easier to find. My comp brings the length of a 5" barrel to nearly 6.5" so even a 6" longslide holster doesn't work for me and I haven't seen any 7" longslide holsters I could afford. I'm on an "Uncle Mike's" budget.

Try a Yaqui Slide. 

It's available from most "off the shelf" holster makers.  It will accomodate nearly anything you put into it from officers to longslide and you only need the one holster for all of them.  They vary in price considerably, so shop around.  They come in belt type and the paddle type and run between 50 and 75 bucks.  You may find cheaper ones but you get what you pay for...

Custom holsters are going to be 20-25 weeks in production based on backlog.  I've been waiting nearly two months for mine and it looks like December before I see it

Lucas, what are you going to use the holster for, probably not concealed carry, but are you going to field carry it, compete with it, does it have optics??

So I think I know what I'm looking for.  Thats just it though I havent found it.  Looking for  a cross draw for a 1911 6" lonslide

Lucas, why a crossdraw?  For what use(s)?

I like crossdraw and shoulder holsters fo looong pistols. For the 6" I could go shoulder or hip. I like strong-side hip for non-concealed use.
