The Ram-Line loader is good, when it's good, if you know what I mean. And when it's not good, it's not good! You open the door and dump a box of ammo in, jiggle it a little and all the shells drop nose first into the slots. You close the door and stick the 2 parts of the contraption together with a mag clipped in and push the lever in with your thumb. One round loaded for each press. It doesn't work with rotary mags like the BX-1. Some of the aftermarket mags feed from the center, and some feed off to the left like the BX-1 mags do. Loaders made for one type won't work with the others.

McFadden Machine makes a Lightnin' Grip Loader for $27.50 and you can buy adaptors for several different .22s for $9.00 or $12.00. There's an Aftermarket 10/22 Rifle Adapter Only (NOT FOR RUGER BRAND MAGAZINES) and You receive both Center and Off Center Adapters for $12.00. It probably works well, but I bought one of their Ultimate ClipLoaders for Ruger Mark series pistols and didn't like it. You have to spray the ammo with RemOil to make it work, and if you don't use all the ammo you get duds. So I tried to modify it to make it work without lubing the ammo, and destroyed it. That was $27.50 in the trash.

I got the additional pair of cheek risers from Victor Company USA today. I squirted a little E6000 adhesive between them all and screwed them down tight. Tomorrow I want to trim a little more off the corners of the bottom one. I'll take pics afterward. I also moved the scope rings back one slot, so the rear ring is all the way back on the rail, and there's an empty slot at the front.

The post office said they would deliver my package last week, but you know how that is. It left Salt Lake City last Wednesday and didn't land anywhere until Monday when it showed up in Native Americanapolis, Native Americana. I got another package yesterday that came from Arkansas, by way of Oklahoma. I don't know why it went WSW ~220 miles before it went ENE, but it was an extra 390+ miles. I'm still waiting on another package that went from Wisconsin to Minnesota, before it arrived at Cincinnati 4 times and left Cincinnati 4 times. It's finally in Michigan but they said it was coming today when it was still in Cincinnati. Another package from Minnesota arrived at Cincinnati 3 times and left Cincinnati 3 times. I never used to have any packages go through there, but they must be getting diverted because of winter weather.

I got the cheekrest remounted this morning, after I sanded the bottom corners, and put some more E6000 on the spacers. The spacers were stuck together in pairs but not all 4 together, and they weren't stuck to the cheekrest. If I got enough adhesive on both places this time, it will be like one big solid piece. The bottom spacer was sticking out past the cheekrest 1/8" or less on all 4 corners, so I took care of it. Since I had 2 new flat surfaces, I stuck 2 stickers on it.

I have a black extended bolt handle on order from Volquartsen. The standard bolt handle is so short I hit the front scope ring with my hand every time I grab it. I'm also getting a new firing pin and extractor for the 10/22 and for my 22/45, and a Mainspring Latch Removal Tool for MKII, MKIII and 22/45 pistols.

I'll be done with this one soon.

I really didn't like the way a couple pics I posted looked, so I edited one, and re-took another. The FDE parts of the cheek riser look green in the 2nd pic. I lit it up with a cheap flashlight on the dimmest of its 2 settings. Neither picture looks good to me, the dark one or the green one. I give up. At least you can see how well the spacers fit the cheek rest. Some people in the wild west decorated their rifle stocks with brass tacks, but I used .44 brass. :)
