People from other countries are flooding across our border. Mostly from the south, or at least using the south door. Southern states are and have cried for aid for years, and in exasperation they are sending the crowds to states that have stated they welcome them. This, along with the insecure border, has created a serious security and health risk. The screening process is catching far less than 50% by many counts. This is truly a health and safety emergency.
Where is FEMA in this?
If our federal government would tighten some of the domestic expenditures for "disasters" that do not need a federal response, except for political purposes. And, if we would pull back even a small percentage of what we send to other nations. Especially in an attempt to bribe them to keep these people in their own countries. Why couldn't FEMA work with Homeland Security to set up tent cities where these people could be held and sorted as they are screened for both health and safety, and then sent on to other states when approved, or deported to their country of origin?
Typical of a government system, we are facing total and complete chaos, and political fodder for the upcoming election season. To put this in my own personal perspective, I compare this to a parent who knows the odds of good vs. evil in their child's contacts, but does nothing to teach, mentor and monitor their activity while others steel them away.
A side not to this that has made my feelings on this stronger is issue with the park in Eagle Pass TX. This isn't about Texas taking a staging area away from Border Patrol. This is about Texas saying there are ports of entry nearby in both directions from this point. Quit flooding across here and avoiding the legal points of entry. Instead of allowing Texas to control the flow across their state, Pres. Biden is forcing maximum flood stage along the river.
